MAXTEL GROUP is aware of the large number of IT technologies, and the necessity to focus on a subset of them. We are sure, that what makes the real difference between companies is not the major technology they adopt, but their commitment toward professionalism. Our decision is to have a special focus on Microsoft solutions, and our goal is to be between the best in this field.
MOL is Central and Eastern Europe’s major player in the oil and gas industry. Since the foundation of MOL Plc., MAXTEL GROUP is present in its IT projects. Some of them:
- WorX Retail Solutions application package for MOL Retail Services, including the Microsoft® SQL 2005 OLAP based Retail Reporting System,
- development and maintenance of the OSS system of MOL Telecommunication Unit (MOLTELECOM, now Invitel TechnoCom),
- IT infrastructure setup and maintenance at Petroszolg Ltd. (former Explant Ltd., MOL subsidiary for maintenance & operation of hydrocarbon delivery pipes),
- the first MOL Corporate Microsoft Exchange network (subcontractor of Montana and Microsoft Consulting),
- first Windows NT network at MOL (made for MOLTELECOM).
We are present at INVITEL (former PANTEL) for 8 years. Invitel is the Hungarian subsidiary of HTCC (HTC symbol on the American Stock Exchange) and is the second telco operator of Hungary. After the acquisition of MOLTELECOM, our OSS system passed a strict audit and proved to be a professional solution in the telecommunication market. More than that, we were asked to extend it towards invoicing and marketing.
The GESCO™ system, designed to support the administrative tasks of the universities, is a product of our Romanian member company: GeniSoft. This system is used by the University of Bucharest, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi, The West University of Timisoara, and more implementations are ongoing.
In Romania we are working currently on a remarkable Retail project at the country’s largest pharmaceutical group, A&D Pharma. It operates 300+ pharmacies countrywide; the total number of transactions per year is more than 300 million. The main used technologies are Microsoft® SQL 2005 OLAP solutions and Microsoft® Share Point Portal 2007.
